Detoxification – How PEMF can help

Looks like Dr Manhattan from the Watchmen

Let’s face it, we’re living in a toxic world, from car fumes, plastics, heavy metals,

But fear not, our body is equipped to deal with this with:

·      A Liver and Gallbladder

·      Kidneys

·      Lymphatic system

·      Glymphatic system

·      Lungs

·      Gastrointestinal tract

·      A whole lot of skin

A beginner’s guide to detoxification

Watch this space for a post on Detoxification in the not too distant future.  For now, let’s keep it short and sweet.

The liver and gallbladder are our main detoxification organs.

Let’s say you ingest a ‘toxin.’

It’s processed by your gut and if it’s not pooped out, it makes its way into the bloodstream, where it will then reach the liver.

The liver then begins the process of biotransformation of the toxin by Phase I and Phase II detoxification enzymes.

Phase I begins the process of removing the toxin from the body, though it actually periodically makes the substance more toxic to the body.

Enter Phase II detoxification, which neutralises the toxin, making it less harmful for the body, and also transforming it into a water-soluble form so that it’s easier to remove from the body, usually via pooing or peeing.

How PEMFs can help

While it sounds like the body knows what it’s doing, it can sometimes do with an extra hand, particularly for chronic exposure, long term illness or simply just 21st century living.

Detoxification is quite an energy intensive task for the body, requiring a lot of ATP.

PEMFs

·      Increase ATP production

·      Improve electroporation, allowing nutrients and oxygen into the cell, while getting wastes out

·      Improved blood and lymphatic circulation

·      Reducing inflammation

·      Shift the body to a parasympathetic nervous system state – extremely important for detoxification

Happy PEMFing y’all
